As we come to the end of 2023, we can reflect on the exciting year we had at Quickbase. For a quick sampling:

  • We brought the power of generative AI into our platform. 2023 was a year of understanding generative AI’s massive potential, as an augmentation (not a replacement) to how we get work done. Quickbase SmartBuilder uses AI technology so anybody managing dynamic work, regardless of technical skills, can create custom applications in minutes, powered by generative AI.
  • We were joined by thousands of people at Empower, where we defined the Era of Dynamic Work. Quickbase experts and leading customers like Comcast, Consigli Construction, Southwest Airlines, and more drove us to find new ways of working and accomplishing the work that drives revenue. As we continue on our quest to enable the Dynamic Enterprise, this moment was an inspiring one to see thousands come together to solve their most complex challenges.
  • We acquired FastField so organizations can accomplish more on the move, and connect the field and the back office. Mobile work isn’t just table stakes – it’s value add, and doing it right can make your organization incredibly effective with the data that can be captured from the field.

But more than anything, we’re as grateful as ever for our Quickbase Qrew. It’s a year where we saw continued innovation and success from our customers, and new approaches to solve the challenges of our time. While we still see organizations struggle with the tedious, manual Gray Work that bogs us down, more and more companies are recognizing the ways they need to respond to this era of Dynamic Work.

Continued growth

Dynamic work – the flexible, multi-stakeholder work that actually drives revenue – takes speed and flexibility. When we see new applications built, that means new solutions to the complex projects organizations are taking on. To that point – over 15,000 new active applications were built this year. That’s over 15,000 business challenges, no longer requiring data to be tracked down from multiple systems and no longer requiring the manual work that takes precious time. Our survey from this year found that 54% of respondents spend more than 25% of their week chasing information from different people and systems, and these applications eliminate that time. And with tens of thousands of applications regularly accessed, and over 1 billion reports delivered, that is a lot of connected data that was otherwise stuck in different systems.

Just as exciting, tens of thousands of regular builders were active this year. These people are all leveraging Quickbase to solve the problems they are closest to, across all levels of technical knowhow. Along with this, Quickbase had over half a million users – a truly amazing number of people accessing the information they need in one central system.

Our Qrew

We consider all of these people part of our Quickbase community, but this year was especially exciting for our Qrew program. There are 44,456 active members of the Quickbase Qrew – and if you’re not involved, join here! This included in-person Qrew Group meetups in Portland Oregon, Houston, Los Angeles, Boston, and Raleigh North Carolina. With more meetups to come in 2024, now’s the time to join our Qrew.

What's Next in 2024

Dynamic work is not going to slow down in 2024. Organizations are going to continue to need to solve their most complex problems in a dynamic way. Be it removing the inefficiencies in construction projects, or streamlining your manufacturing operations, or even the challenges that affect the communities around us, 2024 will be a year of the Dynamic Enterprise. We can’t wait to see what you build next.
