We’ll then transition into a wine tasting with our very own sommelier that will walk us through sampling two California wine-country tastings, with a special nod to its Italian influencers. We’ll start with the 2016 Edge Hill Mixed Whites Field Blend, and then move onto the 2016 San Filippo Le Lucere Brunello di Montalcino.
Mixed Whites is the kind of wine that gets winemakers, sommeliers, and collectors genuinely excited because it almost never sees the light of day. A rare Ribolla Gialla blend from the Rudd Estate family, this won’t last.
The 2015 Le Lucere was #3 on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 and a finalist for James Suckling’s 2019 Wine of the Year. The intense and concentrated 2016 – from one of Brunello’s top vintages – already boasts an astounding 98pts.
