Keeping your stakeholders in the loop is one of the most important duties of any manager. Without your constant appraisals and continuous communication, people have a tendency to get nervous. And when people get nervous, people start to lose confidence. Don’t let that happen to you, especially when you can so easily prevent it with just a little bit of communication. There are any number of methods you can employ – from business process software that can be programmed to deliver scheduled informational blasts, to online data management systems that give stakeholders around the clock access to your progress – that utilize process automation to generate communication.

But what if you don’t like the idea of using business process solutions to address issues of such importance? Nobody ever said it was a bad idea to ignore the old fashioned, tried and true approach of verbal or in person communications through frequent meetings – but in reality it’s difficult to get all of your various stakeholders together in one place at the same time. For this reason, it makes more sense to use business project management software to provide updates. At least until such time as everyone’s able to meet in person.

Using BPM software to facilitate communication with your stakeholders doesn’t have to be considered any more impersonal than conference calls are considered impersonal. Besides, it’s likely that your stakeholders are more interested in the bottom line than exchanging pleasantries. Using process management software to deliver that bottom line is both time saving and cost effective. And when it comes to business process management, those are two of the most important concerns.
