The Spur Group has realized substantial growth since its inception in 2004, and has been relying on Quickbase throughout that journey. Todd Orwig, Senior Director of Operations, will be sharing the best practices of adapting to and capitalizing on this growth during his EMPOWER2017 session “5 Quickbase Lessons That Helped a Company Scale from 2 to 100.”
“When our firm was founded in 2004, our team selected Quickbase because of its ease of deployment, functionality, cost effectiveness and our ability to create tools that supported our business now and as we evolved,” Todd explains. “Quickbase is sophisticated enough to handle the complexities of our business while being simple enough that we can do almost everything ourselves without IT support.”
The Spur Group relies on Quickbase in areas such as Recruiting, Training, Staffing, Sales, Compensation, and Asset Management. The company’s growth has required automating processes that were once managed by email, and gaining increased data visibility to understand trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
“Every business experiences growing pains. The goal of our session is to help you identify, prepare for, and minimize issues related to rapid growth as much as possible. We will share how we’ve built our tools to scale, how we’ve evolved our processes, and how we’ve managed to maintain our corporate culture throughout the experience,” Todd says about his session at Empower.
