SG Network Services’ journey with Quickbase and their business systems consultant CloudBase Services is a testament to the power of the right tools and partnerships. "Quickbase has given us a fit and finish of a corporate enterprise, allowing us to flourish and continue growing," says Tom Roberto, Chief Technology Officer at SG Network Services. With CloudBase's ongoing support, they’re well-positioned to tackle future challenges and achieve even greater success.
Challenges Before Quickbase
Before adopting Quickbase, SGNS struggled with fragmented processes and a lack of cohesive tools. "We had many different people owning various processes, all doing things their own way. There was no overall governance, and we spent a lot of time merging work from different sources," recalls Chris Harper, VP of Operations. The reliance on spreadsheets and disparate online tools like Google Sheets and Smartsheet made it difficult to get a holistic view of projects, from planning to financial closeout.
The Quickbase Solution
Quickbase provided the perfect solution to SGNS’s challenges. Chris, who had prior experience with Quickbase, spearheaded the initiative. "I had used Quickbase at a former employer and knew its potential. When I joined SGNS, I saw the opportunity to implement it company-wide as a CRM and project management tool," he says.
CloudBase Services Partnership
CloudBase played a crucial role in the successful deployment of Quickbase at SGNS. "CloudBase provided hands-on assistance and strategic coaching to help SGNS design, develop, and deploy their applications. Our goal was to ensure they could profitably grow their business and maintain quality, they could leverage Quickbase to its full potential," explains Debbie Taylor, CEO of CloudBase.
"In the beginning, [CloudBase] was essential. I had a vision, and CloudBase helped turn that vision into reality. They provided a business and technical consultant to take our initial ideas and built out the framework. Now, I can't imagine doing it any other way,” Chris says.
The Quickbase Impact
The implementation of Quickbase has had a transformative impact on SG Networks, providing a unified solution that resulted in exponential gains.
In addition to growth, Quickbase has also delivered significant time savings and reduced hiring spend for the finance team. Normally, the team would have needed to hire additional accountants to keep up with the increased workload. Quickbase has enabled them to manage with their existing team, eliminating the need for additional hires. This has not only cut costs but also allowed the team to focus on more strategic tasks.
