We are excited to have Josh Miller, Program Manager of Operational Effectiveness for FedEx Office, attending and co-presenting at EMPOWER 2016. When asked to name his favorite thing about Quickbase, his answer is perfectly succinct.

“It just makes things easier,” he says.

Josh has been using Quickbase for two years, and the $1.2 million in savings (realized by using Quickbase to track and record machine installations) is just one powerful example of Quickbase’s deployment at FedEx Office.

Josh has created apps for multiple departments and myriad use cases: Facilities Management, Company Testing, Asset Tracking, Organization Charts, Program/Project Management, Training Reporting, Event Tracking and Safety, to name a few. He oversees the company’s grass roots ideation site, manages the Field testing program with the help of 150 centers, and continually works to inject Quickbase into as many organizational processes as possible. He loves solving problems and streamlining processes because building efficiency is stimulating and endless.

“You can always build a better process,” he says. This philosophy is no surprise, coming from one the Quickbase 2016 Customer Award Finalists. Josh is nominated for a Hero Award, given to “an individual who best exemplifies the excellence of a Quickbase customer through innovation and team leadership.”

Make sure not to miss Josh’s session with Quickbase Sales Engineer (and webinar superstar) Kirk Trachy. They will be walking attendees though five amazing widgets you did not know you could create with Quickbase including Skype phone dialing, calendar colorization and Google’s charting API for QR codes.

“FedEx Office uses QR codes to log and track work requests” Josh explains. “Just scan the QR code and it submits a record.”

Josh is looking forward to sharing his Quickbase knowledge and enthusiasm with other like-minded users at EMPOWER, and learning some new tricks himself. He is quick to rattle off a list of Sessions he plans to attend.

This is an opportunity that you don’t want to miss!
