Pagination is a common practice used in both UIs and APIs. Its purpose is to ensure data is sent or returned in consumable chunks. For example, if you had a need to move hundreds of thousands of records from one system to another, it is not a good practice to attempt to do it all in one call. Instead, you would break it up into chunks to support optimal performance. In this session we will cover API pagination using the new Quick Base API, Callable Pipelines and Jinja templating.

Skill Level: Advanced Builder
Pre-req: Understanding of roles and permissions, a good grasp on relationships (including summary and lookup fields), and experience writing formulas.
App Permissions
Best Practices
Tips & Tricks
Some applications require a more complex set of permissions than what is offered natively in Quickbase. Roles that need access to overlapping data sets can be difficult to maintain and granting access to each individual user is unsustainable. The cascading permissions technique applies custom access to data within an app, then dynamically updates access using flags and a formula! In this interactive session, we'll demonstrate how and why this works, go over how to set up these permissions, then walk you through implementing the technique on your own.
