QuickBase is available on the iPhone for End Users |
- Improve productivity with anytime, anywhere iPhone QuickBase access
- View critical reports, manage tasks, update information, find contacts
and more
- As with other applications on mobile platforms, there are recommended
uses for Quickbase on the iPhone. It is recommended for application
use (find, view, update) but not for performing advanced customizations
or
building applications.
|
Cross Application Reporting |
- Increase visibility across your QuickBase applications with the new
Reports tab on the My QuickBase page
- Create your own “favorite reports” page to easily access
the most common reports you use across all your QuickBase applications
- The My QuickBase page has two tabs, Applications and Reports. The
Applications tab has not changed. The Reports tab allows you to embed
up to 6 reports
from any application to which you have access. The Reports tab
has two modes, Display and Edit. Edit mode allows you to drag and drop
your
reports
to change their order.

Security: Application Tokens |
- Application Tokens are an added layer of security to protect your application.
App Tokens make it all but impossible for an unauthorized person to create
API calls to your application. An App Token is an extra string of characters
you insert within an API call. That string must match one of the Application
Tokens assigned to the application your API call targets. If your application
does not contain sensitive data, you can disable App Tokens in that application.
If you do so, API calls will work, even if they specify an application
token.

Security: Hide Applications from Public Searches |
- On your My QuickBase page you can search for an application if it’s
not already visible in your list. This search returns only those
applications to which you have access.
- If the app is shared with an entire company (based on email domain),
anyone with the appropriate email domain can see the application
when using this search feature.
- Hide your applications from the searches fellow employees conduct
from the My QuickBase page
|
Security: Time limit on some pages |
- Like most web sites, for added security, QuickBase now imposes a time
limit on some application and account management pages, but it's quite generous. You have 60 minutes to make
your
changes. After 60 minutes, the page expires, and you'll lose any changes
you've made but haven't saved. If you want to keep a page open
edit mode for a long time, save it periodically.
|
Manageability: Clone applications with or without file attachments |
- During the process of copying an application you can now specify whether
or not to copy the file attachments from the original application into
the new clone, enabling you to more easily perform data backup or application
testing.
- You may want to take advantage of this feature if you’re close
to the file attachment limit for your plan or if the cloned app is
only for testing purposes.
- To view your plan’s limits governing file attachments, as well
as your current usage, please visit your Manage Billing Account page.
|
Manageability: Set the maximum length for a text field |
- Improve data accuracy and reduce user errors by limiting the number
of characters end users can store in a text field
