Ed Jennings

Chief Executive Officer

Ed Jennings joined Quickbase as Chief Executive Officer in May 2020 and has a proven track record of accelerating enterprise growth for SaaS leaders. His unique strengths combine innovative market strategies, velocity sales leadership, and extraordinary team building.

Prior to joining Quickbase, Ed was chief operating officer at Mimecast, where he was responsible for the global marketing, sales and services teams and helped bring the company public in 2015. Under his leadership, Mimecast expanded its footprint into the enterprise space, grew its annual revenue from $82M to over $400M in four years, and scaled the team from 350 employees to 1,800, while expanding offices internationally.

In addition to his recent role at Mimecast, Ed has held marketing leadership roles at PTC and Veracode; at the latter, he defined the go-to-market strategy that enabled the company to quadruple revenues during his nearly four-year tenure. Veracode was sold to Computer Associates in 2017. He also has served as CEO for SaaS workflow solution Copanion that was acquired by Drake Software in 2010.

Ed is on the advisory board of Ten Eleven Ventures and the Cyber Resilience Think Tank. He is a regular speaker on a range of digital transformation and technology topics at Gartner, Forrester and FS-ISAC conferences.

Ed is a graduate of Boston College and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.

Steve Webber

Chief Operational Officer & Chief Financial Officer

Steve Webber is Chief Operational Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Quickbase, where he is responsible for overseeing the organization’s operations, systems, and finances. He is a seasoned industry leader with more than 25 years of financial management and executive leadership.

Prior to joining Quickbase, Steve has held a number of financial and operations leadership roles with technology companies, both public and private. Most recently, he was CFO at Carbon Black; he also worked as Chief Operating Officer and CFO at Syniti (formally BackOffice Associates) and CFO at Cynosure. Steve also spent 19 years at EMC Corporation—in his last role there, he served as Senior Vice President and CFO of Virtustream, a $450 million stand-alone SaaS subsidiary.

Steve earned a bachelor’s degree from Babson College and his MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.

Sherri Kottmann

Chief People Officer

Sherri Kottmann is Quickbase’s Chief People Officer, creating and driving the vision for the overall employee experience through leadership of talent acquisition, business partner, HR operations, employee engagement, and D&I practices. She joined in September 2021 and is committed to unlocking the potential of every employee and fostering a culture of growth, support and inclusion.

Sherri has been championing the employee experience at fast-growing organizations, both private and public, for more than 20 years. She spent 12 years at Forrester, most recently serving as CPO, where she evolved the Employee Experience practice into an empathetic, data-driven, transparent, and trusted partner to the business. During her time in this role, she led the COVID-19 response, designed a fully reconstructed flex work program, and established Forrester's Diversity & Inclusion vision and strategy, including standing up their first employee-led and exec-sponsored D&I council. Prior to Forrester, she served in both HR and sales roles at EF Educational Tours.

Sherri has a B.S. in Biology and a minor in French, from Miami University at Ohio.

Mike McGuinness is Chief Commercial Officer at Quickbase, where he is responsible for the company’s next phase of growth by expanding the enterprise sales model, scaling the existing high velocity sales organization and delivering measurable positive outcomes to our customers.

After more than three decades of experience, Mike is a highly respected sales leader in the Boston area with a track record of building high-performing sales and customer success teams.

Prior to joining Quickbase, Mike served as EVP and Chief Customer Officer at Veracode, responsible for all global sales, customer success, support and services. During his tenure, the company more than doubled sales and customers. Previously, Mike was SVP of Field Operations at Sophos, helping grow the company from $200M in sales to over $400m in less than four years. He also was a pre-launch employee at PTC as the company grew from $0 in revenue to over $800M; as SVP of Worldwide Sales, he led the sales team through growth from $250M to $750M.

Mike has a B.S. in Biology from Fairfield University, where he also served on the board of trustees from 2000 to 2012.

Chief Marketing Officer

Eric Olson is Chief Marketing Officer at Quickbase. He joined in April 2019 to lead marketing, including go-to-market strategy, brand development, integrated campaigns, demand generation and customer marketing.

Eric has nearly two decades of experience as a senior go-to-market leader in high-growth technology businesses. Prior to Quickbase, Eric was Chief Marketing Officer for Sovos, where he built the private equity-backed software business’ brand, growth strategy and marketing function from the ground up. Previously, he spent several years in event technology, first leading a high-growth division of Active Network as its general manager where he helped the business enter new markets and establish itself as a market leader for event technology. Then, as CEO of Zerista, he helped grow and sell the mobile startup, building its go-to-market strategy, assembling a cross-functional team and establishing a scalable growth model.

Eric has a B.A. in Journalism from Colorado State University.

Dalan Winbush, CIO

Chief Information Officer

Dalan Winbush is Chief Information Officer at Quickbase, where he leads the strategy and operations for the technology organization, and drives efficiency across the company through process design improvement.

Dalan has more than 20 years of experience in IT, leading technology and process transformations to support company growth. Most recently, Dalan was vice president of IT at Comcast, where he led and managed the selection and implementation of enterprise tools to transform the employee experience, as well as deploying technology to drive a consistent digital approach to managing plants, resulting in $24M of saving opportunity. Prior to Comcast, he held various leadership roles at Elevations Credit Union, Ping Identity, Western Union, as well as 10 years at NICE Systems.

Outside of work, Dalan sits on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including First Tee of Denver, Von Vision and the CIS & CS Advisory Board at the University of Colorado.

Dalan earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Regis University.

Senior Vice President of Engineering

Jon Kennedy is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Quickbase, where he is responsible for leading all aspects of software development, platform operations, and engineering processes in support of Quickbase’s technology and innovation roadmap.

Jon brings more than two decades of experience building technical organizations to help companies successfully grow. Prior to Quickbase, he was at Amazon Web Services, where he led the development, launch, and growth of a new data and migration service, AWS DataSync. While at AWS he also managed all aspects of software development and operations for the AWS Storage Gateway Volume/Tape Service. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Software Development at SimpliVity, the leader in hyperconverged infrastructure until it was acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he was responsible for the development, release, and delivery of the Simplivity’s OmniStack software. Jon was also a Director of Engineering at Sepaton, acquired by Hitachi Data Systems, and a Technical Staff member at the MIT Lincoln Laboratory.

Jon has a B.S. in Physics from the Worcester Polytechnic Institute as well as a master’s degree in Physics from Boston University.

Debbi Roberts, Senior Vice President of Product Management

Debbi Roberts is Senior Vice President of Product Management at Quickbase. Debbi leads all aspects of product management, including UI/UX and innovation teams, and is responsible for defining and executing the product vision and strategy to deliver customer solutions that exceed expectations.

Debbi has more than 20 years of experience leading product management for both B2B SaaS and hardware companies. Most recently, Debbi was Executive Director, Product Management at Vista Consulting Group, part of Vista Equity Partners. Debbi worked across Vista’s 80+ portfolio companies to help product management teams scale and increase business value through implementation of Product Management Best Practices. Prior to Vista, Debbi was Vice President of Product Management at Web.com (now Newfold Digital), where she had P&L responsibility for a broad suite of B2B SaaS products across multiple brand channels. Debbi has also held product management leadership roles at Motorola (RFID Division), Verisign and General Electric.

Debbi has a B.A. from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MBA from Loyola University.

Chief Customer Success Officer

Eric is Chief Customer Success Officer at Quickbase, responsible for customer success, technical support and consulting and enablement services.

With more than 20 years of experience in technology and services, he was most recently Global Vice President of Customer Success and Services and Mendix, where he led successive years of 40%+ ARR growth and integration activities following the company’s acquisition by Siemens.

Prior to Mendix, Eric held services and technical-sales leadership roles at high-growth SaaS companies including Zuora, Rapid7 and PTC. At PTC, he served on expatriate leadership assignments in Japan, France and China for a total of 12 years. Eric began his career in the aerospace industry as a mechanical engineer for CAE Electronics in Canada, where he specialized in design of flight simulators and space control systems.

Eric earned both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University in Montreal, and executive business-education certificates from Harvard Business School and INSEAD.

Akin Adekeye, SVP & General Counsel
Akin Adekeye
SVP, Legal & Corporate Development

Akin Adekeye is SVP, Legal & Corporate Development at Quickbase, is responsible for leading the legal function, advising on company strategies, and overseeing corporate development, including mergers and acquisitions. He has more than 20 years of experience representing a variety of organizations, including technology companies navigating the legal landscape as they scale.

Prior to joining Quickbase, Akin served as General Counsel at 4 Over International, a wholesale trade printer, and led the legal and business development teams at Innovative Interfaces. Akin has worked on in-house legal teams across industries, including roles at Microsoft, Wolters Kluwer, Caradigm and more. Before his in-house experience, Akin began his legal career at Clifford Chance focused on capital markets; he actually started his career as a software engineer.

Outside of work, Akin serves as co-founder and director of the non-profit organization Community Based Development Partners, focused on providing health and education support to rural communities in Nigeria.

Akin holds a bachelor’s degree with a dual major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Bridgeport, an MBA and master's in Strategic Management from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, and a J.D. from the Howard University School of Law.
