If you access a lot of applications, the list that appears on the My QuickBase page can grow very long. You can search for an application to find it quickly.
To search for an application:
Go to your My QuickBase page.
In menu above application list, select Tools > Search for an application.
Tip: If your My QuickBase page lists more than 20 applications, a Search for an Application box displays on the right side of the screen. Save yourself time by typing directly in this search box instead of making a selection from the Applications menu. When you type in this box and click Search, QuickBase returns any application that contains the text in its name or description.
In the Search for an application box, type in the term you want QuickBase to find.
Type in a text snippet or word (or even part of a word) that you know appears within an application name or description. (skip to the bottom of this topic to read tips for improving search results.)
Click Search.
QuickBase displays a page listing the applications that include your search term.
If you don't like the results, hone your search.
The top of the Search page features a dropdown, which you can click to select alternate search modes:
Search for text in the name or description of an application. This is essentially the same kind of search offered by the Search box you launched from the My QuickBase page. When you select this option, you can enter the a new search term in the Text box, and then click Search.
Note: If you want your search to include applications that everyone on the Internet can access, turn on the Include public applications in search check box. If you leave this check box turned off, the search excludes public applications.
List all applications to which I have been granted access. Select this choice to display a list of all applications you can access. Be aware that this list could potentially be longer than the list that appears on your My QuickBase page. For instance, if many people at your company have granted access to everyone within your email domain, all their applications appear within the results list.
List all applications that I manage. Select this option to see only those applications you're in charge of.
List all applications that are accessible by the group: To find all the applications that a particular group can access, select this option and enter the name of the group in the Group Name box. Then click Search.
Word matching is exact. To search for multiple forms of a word, enter the first part of a word. For example, enter purchas to find applications containing the words purchase or purchasing.
If you enter multiple words, QuickBase displays a list of the applications that match all of the words you entered. For example, if you search for the phrase contact manager, QuickBase displays a list of applications that contain both the words contact and manager. The search results are sorted by application name.
If QuickBase returns no applications from your search, try entering a more general term. For example, if you searched for purchase requisition and no applications were found, try searching for purchase.
