There may be times when you want to remove a table from your application but save the data it contains.
You can easily pull off this trick, by expelling the table from the application. When you expel a table, QuickBase separates it from the application but does not delete the table or its contents. Instead, the program creates a new application out of the table and gives it the same name as the expelled table. You can access this new application from your My QuickBase page.
Note: Expelling a table doesn't delete it, but it does break existing relationships. This makes it extremely difficult to fold the table back into its original application. If you think you'll ever want to absorb the table back into its source application, save yourself some trouble: don't expel it. Instead, try removing access to the table, or hiding it from the menu to keep it out of sight.
To expel a table from a multi-table application:
From the My QuickBase page, open the application that contains the table you want to remove.
In the menu bar on any application page, select Customize > Application.
Click the Tables tab.
Locate the table that you want to remove and click its More button.
Within the menu that appears, select Expel this table.
QuickBase displays a confirmation prompt asking if you're sure you want to expel the table.
Click Yes, expel it.
When you return to your My QuickBase page, the name of the expelled table will be listed there as a new application.
