Anyone that wants to organize a food run will add a record to the "dates" by filling out: where getting food from, who's picking up and, who's dealing with finance. Again...anyone can organize a run. There's no reason why we can't have multiple runs on any given day. Adding that record will email everyone in the office that a "lunch run" is being done. Anyone that wants put in an order will "Add an Order" to the orders table and then will pay the "runner". The "runner" will keep track of who's paid and who hasn't. (This application now also calculates a "Runner Benefit" based on the total number of orders which will hopefully provide the "runner" with a free lunch.)
Great concept for an application!
This is a great and novel concept for an application! The application is simple to use but it packs in tons of functionality. The author clearly took the time to flesh out their idea and refined it. I recommend people download this application and try it out. I can see real potential in a future version of this application where people can download a pre-populated version of the application with data on local restaurants.
Eat better at lunch!
This is a nice little app to help organize lunch. Folks who want to participate just sign up to get an email notification whenever someone has signed up to do a lunch run for that day. The cool thing is that the runner usually gets a free lunch after 5 folks or so thanks to the automatic round-up calculation -- makes it less onerous to go get lunch. Also keeps track of folks who have/haven't paid. Very slick. Only thing better would be if it could remind folks as the order cutoff time approaches....
