Knowledge Base

Our Knowledge Base covers a wide variety of technical topics, from the basic to the complex.

How do I have one drop down list's choices determine the choices available in another drop down list?

Couldn't see the Conditional

Couldn't see the Conditional Behavior anymore with the new interface of Quickbase. We needed that feature for we have so many items to sort out.

RE: 'Couldn't see the Conditional'

The conditional behavior should be working the same in New QuickBase as it did in Classic QuickBase. If this isn't looking right in the new version, I would definitely enter a support case at and a support rep wil be happy to sort it out for you.

Your help pages need update

It is obvious that these pages were built a long time ago. I have to search for each and every step in your documentation to meet the new definitions you have created.

In this page: "Conditional Behavior: Filter choices by selecting another field first" does not exist, rather "Conditional Behavior: The values in this field depend on a selection in another field."

Hi Rani --

Thanks for letting us know about the error. We'll schedule a fix for it in the next product release. You're right, the online help was built a while ago. We try to keep on top of changes, but 400+ topics and a similar number of images make that task difficult. We do have a built-in reporting mechanism, though -- just use the "Comment on this page" link at the bottom of a page if you spot an error. You're welcome to use that link to report larger-scale issues that you notice as well. That way we have a record of errors found, and we can easily schedule them for fixing.
