QuickBase includes a lot of detail in its URLs, which you can take advantage of when building formulas or external API functionality. For example, let’s consider a URL a user might see when viewing a report:

You can use a Formula – URL field to create a URL that takes a viewer to a specific Web page. Formula - URL fields enable you to combine information from different fields in your application into a single URL. You use the "&" symbol to combine the values of several fields into a single URL or add the value of one or more fields to a URL string.

Yes you can! You can create a formula text field that will display the value you want to see on the calendar as well as showing a color. In other words, if you want to see the Status of a record in red on your calendar, you could create a formula text field that displays the value from the field Status and is colored red.

Append fields can become quite large and contain too much text to display in a report easily. You can use a formula text field to display only the most recent value from your append field and then display the formula text field in your reports instead of the append field.

You can use formulas to create fields that are calculated based on other fields or the time of day. There are a variety of built-in functions that can be used in formulas.
