Need to know how to build,

Need to know how to build, access and execute API code

start with the API Guide

Hi Richard,

Take a look at our API Guide ( for an idea of what API calls are available, and what sorts of data they return. The official API uses HTTP, and each API call documented in the API Guide has examples of a request and the expected response. If you're interested in getting some response data for your development efforts, most API calls can be invoked via URL as well as via an XML request string, and the raw XML is returned in your browser window so you can see what the response would look like.

In general, the API calls return XML, so whatever language you choose to use will need to be able to handle HTTP GET requests and process XML if you're interested in working with the returned data.

Hope this helps,
