Colorful Icons Make QuickBase Faster

We have loaded 2500 really awesome graphics to our servers so you can colorize and enliven your QuickBase applications. Now you can display status, priority and virtually any condition with rich colorful eye-catching icons. There are 502 icons loaded in five standard pixel sizes 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 48x48 and 128x128.

The cool part of this announcement is that these graphics will load quickly and are not subject roles and permission checking in QuickBase. The result... large reports can now update many graphics without delay.

Below is a sampling of some of the icons: icon2 icon3 icon1 icon4

One example of how to use the graphics in your QuickBase:

1. Create a formula text field for one of your tables.

2. Browse and select from any of the 2500 icons linked at

3. Right-click and copy the URL locations of the graphics and insert them into the html code below.

4. Don't forget to check the "Allow some HTML tags" checkbox.

5. Include the new fields on your reports.

"In-Progress","<div><img src=\"\"></div>",
"Completed","<div><img src=\"\"></div>",

Why use icons to represent the QB dashboard applications?

Why take the time to standarize which icons to use for each QB appliation on the Dashboard? Can anyone help me justify taking the time to do this.

re: Why use icons to represent the QB dashboard applications?

My name is Brian from QuickBase Support. These icons are meant to make applications more lively, and gives another level of customization to really make your app your own! It actually doesn't take that much time to set up, but if you'd like a hand I'll be happy to go through it with you. If you could visit and enter a support case, we can share information related to your app privately.

If you could request the case be forwarded to me, along with your question, that would be great!

Formula problem

I couldn't make this work with your exact formula. The div tags seemed to be the problem. After some help from Mark Schneier in the community I ended up with:

Case([Assignment Locked],"Locked", "<img src=\"\">", "Unlocked", "<img src=\"\">", "<img src=\"\">")
I love these icons :-)
