Quickbase Announces Third Annual EMPOWER User Conference

EMPOWER2017 will provide insights and education to representatives from the company’s 6,000+ customers, enabling them to be more agile and efficient

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – April 4, 2017Quickbase, a leading no-code application development platform provider, today announced EMPOWER2017, its third annual user conference aimed at arming customers and partners with the resources they need to turn their ideas into action every day. The conference, which will take place in Boston from May 22-25, will feature keynotes by acclaimed futurist Mike Walsh, known for his thought leadership around the future of work in the enterprise; members of Quickbase’s executive team, including new CEO Rick Willett; and select customers.

Quickbase customer success stories will highlight the conference, which includes more than 50 breakout sessions over the course of the three days. Executives from Dana Farber Cancer Institute will discuss their use of Quickbase to streamline workflows and improve communication for critical projects like clinical trials, while officials from the District of Columbia will share how they used Quickbase to develop a “Stormwater Database” app to help protect the city’s rivers against storm pollutants.

“Quickbase’s customers represent an incredibly diverse range of use cases, job roles and types of businesses — we have everything from one-person shops to Fortune 100 companies in the same room,” said Rick Willett, chief executive officer of Quickbase. “Our very invested and engaged community at EMPOWER is testament to the fact that the only common denominator for no-code development is a desire to grow one’s skills and career while making business more efficient and innovative.”

“In this day and age, there is another dimension to being agile, which is knowing how to get ahead of tomorrow’s technologies,” said Mike Walsh. “How do we re-design our work in the age of automation and algorithms in ways that don’t compromise efficiency, productivity and happiness? I can’t think of a better audience than Quickbase’s already agile and creative users to engage with on that question.”

The company designed this year’s agenda in response to what past attendees found most valuable: learning new skills and making new connections. EMPOWER2017 will feature a pre-conference app-a-thon, an on-site training course, three networking events, breakout talks, and customer awards.
